Exploring the Brain!!!!

Wednesday was such a fun day of exploration! We were able to look at a real cow brain and we used our virtue of courage to touch it. Looking at a cow brain has helped us to understand what our own brain looks like and we then went straight to our SPARKS book to draw the brain and jot down words to describe what it looked like and felt like. After this we then used our SPARKS book to write about our experience.

Here are some sentences below;

The cow brain felt squishy, icky - Ayla
The brain looks like long worms and bunch of worms all together - Krista
It look like two sponge stacked together - Nicole
It is squishy and it is soft. The Maori word is roro - Ayshia
It feels like raw meat - Jade
I didn't want to touch it but I was brave - Lorenzo

Enjoy our photo's below of our exploration!

 Our SPARKS book drawing and jottings about the experience.
 Here you can see the brain, including the cerebellum, and brain stem.
