Today Room 7 met Tracey from Team Energize. She talked to Room 7 about the new Home Play Challenge starting this week. It will run for 3 weeks and the class with the most challenges completed will win a special prize!

Elias' Awesome New Hat!

This is my cool hat. It is my special hat because I once went to a Rugby game and bought my cool hat. At the end of the game I got my hat signed. I got my hat signed by Half Back Tawera Kerr-Barlow, Mahonri, and Taumalolo.

Cross Country Training

  

Today all the Year 3 and 4 classes went for a practice run around the field two times!

We are focused on improving our general fitness to help keep our body healthy and fit. 

We are also practicing how to keep a good speed that isn't too fast so that we do not get puffed out straight away. This will help us get ready for the Cross Country race at the end of the term.

Russell the Dragon

Room 7 undertook a special writing challenge recently! Their task was to write a story for a character called Russell. Russell was created by the artist Evan Heasman and he kindly let Room 7 use Russell as an inspiration for writing. Mrs Dodd had the difficult task of choosing a few stories as the finalists written by Ayshia, Campbell, Elias, and Nythan to send to Evan. 

The final piece of writing chosen was then crafted together by Evan to show Russell and his story.

Well done to Elias for bringing the character, Russell, to life and sharing his story with the world.
