Spelling Bee

Yesterday the Middle Syndicate held the Spelling Bee competition. Congratulations to the Year 3 and 4 winners! It was a fantastic effort from the finalists!

A big congratulations to Krista and Campbell for participating in the Spelling Bee. They were selected to represent Room 7 and they both did a great job. Well done!

Wow how cool to have a spelling competition at school. What were some of the tricky words you had to try and spell? How did Krista and Campbell from your class go? Did you have a chance to write your words down or did you just have to spell them out loud?

  2. Hi Room 11 and Mrs Head,

Campbell says, in the first round there were no tricky words. The rules were you couldn't put a capital letter in the word, you had to spell the words before the 20 seconds was up and each time you got it wrong, you got a teddy bear. 2 teddybears and you're out. We had to write the words down on a small whiteboard.

Campbell said that he got out because he did a capital letter and he ran out of time. Krista said I had to spell the word everywhere but I ran out of time.
