Week 2!

Room 7 has had an exciting 2nd week! We have been swimming everyday! This week we have been learning how to use studyladder and storybird. Here is a pic of us using storybird. 

Storybird is a lot of fun because you can create your own story using amazing illustrations to inspire you to write.

We have also been working on creating our family trees which help us to learn more about our whakapapa and this will help us better understand our mihimihi too!

We had to draw our family members, write their names, and write down whether they are a koro, kuia, tungane, tuahine, mama or papa.

I will like to work on my reading and spelling. I would like to be reading at Gold.

I would rather work on my spelling. I am just on level 5 and I'm getting most up to 7.

My names Krista and I like Butter chicken. This is my first time on the blog.
My learning goal is to get better at times tables.

Week 1 of our first term back!

Room 7 has had a very busy first week at school! It has been lots of fun getting to know each other.
We have been busy planning our classroom rules as a class as well as talking about how to make our classroom a happy, safe place to learn in. 

We read "Have you filled a bucket today?" to help us think more deeply about how we treat others. 

We learned about the Treaty of Waitangi, started reading our classroom novel, "Billionaire Boy". We are practicing learning our mihimihi as well as learning about our family.

It is exciting that we are swimming in week 2 everyday in the middle block. Don't forget your togs.
